Study Guides

Today, I've been working on making some study guides that consist of questions and answers for material that should be known from the AP US Government & Politics curriculum. So far, I've completed one and I'm working on more and I've already added the section for the study guides to the right column under contributors and above the flash cards section. I'll be adding links to more of the study guides once I get them completed. As for now, I've got a study guide on early history and background of the U.S. government and the U.S. Constitution. Click here. These study guides can be printed for you to do as you please.

Review Video

I found a video that pretty much covers the curriculum of AP Gov. and compacts it to about 14 minutes. It looks like a pretty good short review for the exam. Click here.

New Videos

If you look to your left, I have added a new section for videos. One link leads to a playlist that Mr. Reed has put on his blog for "Government for Dummies." The other is one for Crash Course: U.S. History. Although the topic of the Crash Course playlist pertains mainly towards U.S. history rather than U.S. government, there are multiple videos that discuss a range of government issues: the Constitution, federalism, politics, 19th century reforms, industrial economy, etc. I really think you will find the videos helpful.

Flashcards

If you look to your right below 'Contributors', you will find that I've started adding links to Quizlet where you can use online flashcards to help you study your vocabulary for the exam. It would be a good idea to brush up and know your terms.

CollegeBoard Exam Tips

I found a web page from AP Central at CollegeBoard.com that lists some pretty good tips for the upcoming exam. Click here. Some of the tips include making sure that you're following the given directions (explain, define, list, describe, etc.). In addition, it is also important that when you are writing the FRQs to be sure that you focus on writing clearly and concisely. Be sure to take a look.

New Links

I have started putting posts on the left hand side of the blog. I have also found a possible study guide to be used. Click here. This is essentially a general outline of the curriculum for AP Government. It wouldn't be a bad idea to brush up on some of the subjects you're not strong with.
